For The Love of Animals Lottery 

February 16 to March 28, 2024

Main Draw
  1. Total value of all prizes is $89,024.86
  2. A maximum of 17,805 tickets are available for purchase.  
  3. Ticket price is $25 CAD each or 5 tickets for $100 CAD or 25 tickets for $250 CAD. The 25 tickets for $250 CAD package, is limited to 200 orders. The lottery system is set to discontinue selling this package once 200 orders have been processed.
  4. Valid ticket is receipt and proof of purchase.  
  5. Only valid tickets are eligible for the draw.  
  6. Tax receipts cannot be issued for ticket purchases.  
  7. Ticket purchasers must be located in the province of Ontario at time of purchase.  
  8. Purchasers must be at least 18 years of age.  
  9. Tickets cannot be purchased for or in the name of persons less than 18 years of age.  
  10. The following, and family residing in the household are not eligible to purchase tickets:  
  • Staff of the Ottawa Humane Society 
  • Ottawa Humane Society Board  
  • Management and Staff of Audi West Ottawa 
  1. The three early-bird draws are valued at: 
  • Early Bird 1: $6,667.00
  • Early Bird 2: $4,073.46
  • Early Bird 3:  $5,000.00 
  1. The first early-bird draw will be February 27, 2024 at 10AM. The deadline to purchase tickets, in order to be included in the first early-bird, is 11:59PM on February 26, 2024. The second early-bird draw will be March 7, 2024 at 10AM. The deadline to purchase tickets, in order to be included in the second early-bird, is 11:59PM on March 6, 2024. The third early-bird draw will be March 18, 2024 at 10AM. The deadline to purchase tickets, in order to be included in the second early-bird, is 11:59PM on March 17, 2024.

  2. Main draw prize is a 2024 Audi Q5 valued at $73,284.39 including taxes.  Prize value is approximate and based on the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (“MSRP”) at the time the purchase agreements were confirmed. Please be advised that the colour and some features may be different from what is presented on the website and other promotional materials.
  3. Main draw occurs at 1PM on March 28, 2024 at 245 West Hunt Club Rd, Ottawa, ON K2E 1A6. The deadline to purchase tickets, in order to be included in the main draw, is 12:00PM March 28, 2024. 

  4. All valid tickets included in the early-bird prize draw, including the early-bird winning ticket, will be included in the main draw.
  5. Winning ticket number, and name and place of residence of the winner(s) will be recorded and announced immediately after each draw through the event website. 
  6. Lottery winners will be notified by an Ottawa Humane Society representative. Such notification will include information about the prize claim procedure.  
  7. Winning ticket number and name of winner will be broadcast by the Ottawa Humane Society for the For the Love of Animals Lottery.  
  8. Early-bird draw prizes can be picked up at the Ottawa Humane Society or shipping can be arranged.
  9. Main draw prize (Audi Q5) is awarded on an unconditional ownership basis inclusive of all taxes, freight charges, pre-delivery inspection (PDI) costs and dealer fees. 
  10. Winner of the main prize must take delivery of the vehicle as awarded and is responsible for licensing and insurance from the time of delivery/ownership. Delivery of the vehicle is P.O.D., Ottawa, Ontario. 
  11. Privacy Policy: Personal information is collected for the sole purpose of completing ticket sales, identifying ticket purchasers and communicating with purchasers. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.

  14. In these Rules and Regulations, and in all electronic or printed material related to this lottery: 
     
  • a) “AGCO” means the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario;
  • b) “For The Love Of Animals Lottery” means the AGCO approved electronic lottery system designed by  Bump Worldwide Inc. and operated by the Ottawa Humane Society for the conduct of this lottery; 
  • c)  “Dashboard” means the Dashboard component of the computer-controlled system designed by Bump Worldwide Inc. for the conduct of this lottery;  
  • d) “Draw” means the random selection of a winning ticket number by the Ottawa Humane Society through the For The Love Of Animals lottery system;
  • e) “Player” means a person who is eligible to participate in this lottery in accordance with the Rules and Regulations; 
  • f) “Prize” means the consideration or item identified by the Ottawa Humane Society that is provided to the winner of a draw in return for the purchase of a valid ticket;  
  • g)  “Ticket Number” means a unique numerical sequence randomly issued by the For The Love Of Animals Lottery as set out on a Valid Ticket;  
  • h) “Valid Ticket” means For The Love Of Animals Lottery ticket issued by the Ottawa Humane Society that is not void; 
  • i)  “Winner” means the person who is the bearer of a winning ticket and who satisfies all conditions established by the Club to claim the prize;  
  • j) “Winning Number” means the number of a valid ticket selected as the winner during a draw;
  • k) “Winning Ticket” means a valid ticket that bears a ticket number matching the winning number of a  draw.

  • 50/50 Rules of Play:

    A. The lottery will take place from February 16, 2024 to March 28, 2024 online at ForTheLoveLottery.ca 

    B. All tickets will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older.

    C. 50/50 tickets can be purchased as follows:

    • 5 for $10.00
    • 25 for $25.00
    • 200 for $50.00

    D. The total value of the prize drawn is dependent on the total number of tickets sold.

    E. The 50/50 ticket draw will take place at 1PM on March 28, 2024 at 245 Hunt Club West Rd, Ottawa, ON K2E 1A6. The deadline to purchase tickets to be included in the 50/50 draw is 12PM on March 28, 2024.

    F. Tickets will be sold using electronic raffle system supplied by Bump Worldwide Inc..

    G. After buying, patrons will be given by the sellers a receipt with their 50/50 registered numbers. from a Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.

    H. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold for the draw.

    I. The amount of the 50/50 will be monitored on website, and will be 50% of the total sales for that draw.

    J. The winning number will be announced on website, social media channels and in print on site. The winner will also be contacted directly by a representative from the Ottawa Humane Society by phone and/or email.

    K. The winner may claim their prize by contacting the Ottawa Humane Society at: (613) 725-3166 x299, or by email at: events@ottawahumane.ca . The ticket may then be brought to 245 West Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, ON, at an agreed upon time for ticket verification. The winner will then be awarded the prize amount by cheque. Winners must have the original winning ticket and no copies. All payments will be made by cheque.

    L. The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchased for.

    M. The winner must provide photo identification and verify their phone number and address in order to claim their prize.

    N. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is, at minimum, 50% of the total sales for that draw. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.

    O. In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning stub will kept in a safety deposit box and held for 6 months. After that time period has elapsed the prize will be donated back to the Ottawa Humane Society, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

    P. Ticket purchasers must be located in the province of Ontario at the time of purchase.
